Traineeship Administration

The Traineeship Admin ILM allows people to gain both qualifications and work experience in administration and prepare them to re-enter the labour market.

Training period can be either 1 year 9 months or 6 months depending on your experience and prior qualifications (if any).

Initially candidates are based in our Flexible Learning Centre where we aim to have them ECDL qualified or at least working towards their ECDL before commencing a work placement.

While on placement the trainee will complete their SVQ level 2 in Business Administration

In addition candidates will also have the chance to take part in

• Teambuilding
• First Aid
• Pacific Institute STEPS to Excellence.
• Job Search

Traineeship Specific Career

The Traineeship Specific Career can provide training in a variety of occupational fields – training can be from 3 months up to one year.

On this programme we have had trainees in catering, joinery, hairdressing, retail and youth work to name but a few. This is a tailored package with qualifications and training designed to meet the needs of the client and the employer.

Hours can be flexible ranging from 16 to 30 hours per week.

In addition candidates will also have the chance to take part in

• First Aid
• Pacific Institute STEPS to Excellence.

ChildCare

We continue to offer opportunities to residents of the datazone area through our Childcare ILM programme.

The programme lasting for up to 52 weeks provides practical training an a training allowance. Trainees will undertake a variety of training including SVQ 2 in Playwork or Children’s Care Learning & Development including.

There will also be opportunities to go out on placement to other Out of School groups and nurseries.
